The Musings of Dennis Griesser
This site was created to be an archive of the articles and ramblings written by my father, Dennis Griesser.
About the site
Dennis wrote on a wide variety of topics. He began contributing to Byte Magazine in the 1980s and never stopped writing. He wrote on technical topics, politics, family history, and was especially passionate about spreading information on feline mange cures and helping home haunters build Halloween props.
Not all of his works have been uncovered and posted yet. This site is a work in progress as I, his daughter, find and process through his archives.
Dennis loved to share information and stories. Join me in celebrating his life through his writings!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why create this site?
Dad was a prolific writer, from technical articles to personal missives, and after he passed folks asked me where to find his content. I wanted to create an archive where I could post things I found as I found them and make his writings available to his friends.
What happened to his websites?
To put it simply, they’re gone. He may have been in the process of overhauling them at some point, but I haven’t found source files. Some of his old hosts went out of business as well. I’m doing my best to recreate old content from the Wayback Machine and assorted computer files.
Can I contribute?
Did Dad once send you a missive? Want to add it to the archive? Get in touch with me (Erin) and I’ll consider adding it!
Where can I pay my respects?
Get in touch with me (Erin) and I can tell you where he’s buried if you’d like to visit him. If you’d like to make a donation in his name, I can give you a list of charities!
